Urology

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary tract system and the male reproductive system. KIMS Urology department started in the year 2001 with qualified urologists and department has grown to be busy department over last 20 years.

Department provides comprehensive treatment for all urological problems like prostate disease, urinary stones, genital tract infections, malignancies, stricture disease, male infertility and Andrology. Every year we see around 10000 patients with various urological conditions in Outpatient department. More than one thousand patients will be operated every year which includes Endo-urological, laparoscopic, reconstructive, female urological, infertility, Andrology and open operations with support from other departments.

On the academic front regular classes are being taken for students to impart knowledge and awareness about common urological conditions. General surgery post graduate are rotated through urology postings to impart exposure in surgical skills and training. To our credit lot of students successfully chosen urology as their super speciality currier. We have a lot of national and international publications and presentation beside many dissertation from our department. Department of urology has conducted many state and National level live operative workshop to project the recent advances in urology to the deserved as CME program.
