THE DEPARTMENT OF RADIO-DIAGNOSIS

THE FACILITY

The department is equipped with two state of the art 1000 MA Image intensifier
T V (IITV) x-rays machines.

This 1000 MA IITV x-ray machine has a conventional tomography facility which is extensively used to image the kidneys during urography.

The Units have a 90-90 tilt facility and a floating table top.

The Unit has a odelca camera which is coupled with incremental movement
of table top for angiography.

A Medrad V pressure injector is coupled to this machine.

This is the other 1000 MA IITV x-ray machine which is coupled with a vertical bucky

There are two 100 MA condenser discharge units for exclusive chest radiography and routine radiography.

In addition to above x-rays machines two 60 MA portable machines for radiography in the ICU, CCU are present.

Two C arm x-ray machines are also available in the OT.

The Seminar Hall
The ultrasound section is equipped, with two color Doppler machines and one gray scale imaging ultrasound machine for abdominal sonography. The ultrasound machines are DICOM compatible. In addition one portable machine for ward work is available.

This is the latest color Doppler machine which has 3D & 4D facility to image the pregnant ladies. The machine has the latest STIC facility which shows the heart in all views automatically.

New OPD X Ray Machine
Tejas 6000 from Wipro GE of capacity 50Kw. This X Ray Machine is the 4th Machine to be installed in the country and 1st in Karnataka. It is computer controlled and gives good quality pictures with less radiation (patient friendly)

The Seminar Hall
New computerised Radiography System produces digital images in place of earlier analouge film pictures. This system is networked to a central reporting room which is housed in a separate wing.

The Seminar Hall One more 3D-4D Ultrasound machine - VOLUSON has been installed, whihc is networked to the Central Reporting Room.

This is the regular Doppler machine which is used mainly to study the blood vessels

This is the regular grey scale imaging machine which we useto study the abdomen and pelvis

This is the spiral subsecond CT

This is the 1.5 tesla MRI which has the latest soft ware programmes, MRI angiogram that is the study of blood vessels is done routinely.

We also have a mammogram machine for female breast imaging.

We offer a package – for patients who under go a x-ray mammogram a sonomammography is offered free.

We offer the services in radiology department round the clock.
