The Department is well equipped with the following equipments:
1. Zeiss operating microscope with CCTV and recording facilities.
2. Storz Nasal endoscope with CCTV Camera and recording facilities.
3. Micro motor
4. Micro laryngeal Diagnostic and Surgical equipments.
5. Temporal bone dissection lab with operating microscope and Micro motor.
6. Separate set of Nasal endoscopes for OPD Diagnostic purposes.
7. Fully equipped Audiological Department with qualified Audiologist and Speech therapist.
8. A Departmental Library with 121 ENT books by various national and international authors.
On an average 800 major and 1000 minor surgeries are performed every year. The average daily out patient attendance is seventy. |
Achievements of the Department:
The Department conducted several Workshops, Live surgical Demonstrations and Conferences.
- State Conference in September 1996.
- Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery – Cadaveric and live Surgical Demonstration in 1993.
- Temporal Bone Workshop followed by live Surgery in Sept 1996.
- Live surgical demonstrations in Head and Neck and Skull base by Guest faculty, Dr.Majumdar, JIPMER, Pondicherry, Dr.R.P.Deo, Bangalore and Dr.P.Tulsidas, Chennai.
- Live surgical Demonstration of Bloom Singer prosthesis by Dr.Hiranya Gowda U.S.A.
